Inferno is based on my perception that people today are more prone to buying unique objects of art instead of paintings, but then expose them on windowsills, shelves, or roller-painted pedestals. I wanted to create a worthy display pedestal that is also a piece of furniture, able to carry itself without objects on top. 

It’s made out of MDF, with all rounded corners, and painted in a fluorescent red/orange RAL2005. I did this so you wouldn't immediately read it as a wooden cabinet but rather as plastic, to encourage the investigation of the cabinet itself and not only the objects on top.
