Pleat mirror
by Gustav Winsth
Pleat reimagines the full length mirror as a sculptural object. Made from mirror polished stainless steel, it reflects the surrounding space with a sharp, almost architectural presence.
The surface is folded to create soft pleats that add depth and distortion to the reflection. As light and movement change in the room, the mirror behaves almost like a living surface.
Cut from a single sheet of steel and scaled close to the proportions of a doorway, Pleat carries a strong physical presence while remaining minimal in form.

Scale was key. By extending from the floor, it becomes part of the room’s architecture rather than just an object applied to it. It functions as a mirror, but the fold introduces a spatial quality that shifts the focus beyond pure utility.
