Dag – Daybed
by Gustav Winsth & Teresa Lundmark
Dag is a piece of furniture designed for casual seating in both private and social settings. Throughout the project we focused on comfort to separate Dag from the more formal, almost sculptural daybeds common today.
The padding swells through the openings of the wooden frame while the back remains stripped back and expressive. This contrast between the soft upholstery and the precise wooden structure defines the character of the piece.
Dag is constructed in solid beech, developed together with Gärsnäs whose experience in wooden craftsmanship made the detailed yet simple construction possible.

Gustav Winsth is a Swedish designer in furniture, interiors, and accessories. With a background in mechanical engineering, he blends technical precision with expressive creativity.
